Viitos-Metalli Oy is a Finnish family-owned company specializing in the manufacturing of heat technology and pressure equipment. Founded in 1994 and based in Heinola, the company aims to be a leading innovator in heat technology.

According to Sales Director Vesa Sahanen, one of the main drivers of demand at the time was the Finnish PIPO regulation, whose requirements for existing energy plants were scheduled to take effect no later than 1 January 2018.

“When energy plants make modifications to their oil systems, new and reliable solutions are needed,” says Sahanen.

Viitos-Metalli supplies oil pumping and heating stations for energy plants, and in many cases entire boiler plants are modernized as part of the project.

The company works closely with strong partners in both boiler and burner technologies, enabling many projects to be delivered on a turnkey basis.

“Demand is currently high and new orders are coming in continuously. Most deliveries are scheduled for next year,” confirms Sahanen.

Viitos-Metalli has grown steadily in recent years. As a result of this growth, the company moved to larger production facilities in 2011. The current premises provide 10,000 m² of production space, and the company employs approximately 40 people.

According to Sales Manager Kaj Sundberg, the company’s strong expertise is reflected in all of its products.

“Our personnel’s more than 20 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing can be seen throughout our product range. In-house engineering and extensive experience in metal fabrication enable versatile and flexible operations,” Sundberg explains.

Sahanen and Sundberg consider cost-efficiency and reliable delivery schedules to be among the company’s greatest strengths. Customer satisfaction is viewed as an essential factor and the only sustainable path to growth.

“At the same time, we have made new customer acquisition an increasingly important part of our growth strategy,” adds Sundberg.
