Electric boiler for water heating

Resistance-heated electric boiler for hot water and district heating. A Power-to-Heat solution that participates in grid balancing markets.

In the resistance boiler, water is heated with metallic resistance elements that convert electrical energy into thermal energy. Output is adjusted by switching resistance elements on and off and by regulating the output of individual elements.

The electric boiler suits hot water and district heating networks as a primary or secondary heat source. It enables optimisation of heating costs against spot electricity prices and participation in the Fingrid reserve market, which provides capacity compensation.

The compact design requires no chimney, which significantly eases environmental permitting.
