Viitos-Metalli Oy is constructing a new 2 × 12.5 MW district heating plant in Renkomäki, Lahti. The plant is being delivered on a turnkey basis, including the construction of the building itself.

The plant will primarily operate on natural gas, with light fuel oil serving as a backup fuel. The facility will be equipped with Viessmann hot water boilers fitted with Oilon burners. The new district heating plant is scheduled to enter operation in autumn 2019.

The project has been commissioned by Lahti Energia Ltd.
