The winter of 2015 was a busy period for Viitos-Metalli. Six sea containers of finished products were delivered to Indonesia for the boiler plant of the world’s largest pulp mill under construction.

The delivery included heating and pumping stations with filtration systems for both light fuel oil and heavy fuel oil. Viitos-Metalli Oy was responsible for the engineering and manufacturing of the project from start to finish.

The project was particularly demanding due to differing regulatory requirements. Viitos-Metalli normally operates under European directives, but in this case the delivery had to comply with the ASME standard. This brought its own set of technical and documentation challenges.

The customer, Valmet Power, was satisfied with the delivery both in terms of quality and schedule performance.
